FAQ

Thank you for your interest in University of Nebraska SIFE Sales. If you have any questions about any of our auctions or services, please do not hesitate to call us 402-472-7290.

Q. What is the difference between NU Auction sales and Ebay sales?
A. NU Auction features University-only auctions in which only faculty or staff of the University of Nebraska can purchase items. Most auctions spend one week as an NU Auction listing. If they do not sell after that week, they are transferred to eBay sales. EBay auctions are featured on www.ebay.com and are available to the public. Auctions generally last seven days.

Q. What can be sold by UNL SIFE Sales? On NU Auction? On eBay?
A. All kinds of things. This question, asked frequently by sellers, needs to be answered on an individual basis. One valuable way to discern whether or not items might sell on eBay is to search for similar items on eBay.com. If you have questions about this topic, please contact us by e-mailing sifesales@unl.edu.

Q. I have an item I want to sell. What can UNL SIFE Sales do for me?
A. SIFE Sales will take pictures of the item, create listings, answer questions, work with customers, complete the sale and then package and ship the item if necessary. If the item is to be picked up locally, a UNL SIFE Sales representative will work with the freight company and, in most cases, be present at the time of pickup to assist in any way possible. By selling with UNL SIFE Sales, you can also take advantage of its years of good reputation on eBay. To the world of eBay buyers and sellers, a seller’s feedback score is extremely important. UNL Surplus has a 100% feedback rating with over 900 feedback score.
