Who Can Sell?

  • Only University faculty or staff can sell items using NU Auction.
  • Donations can be made by the general public but will not be reimbursed for their items.

How Do I Transfer an Item?

  • • SIFE Sales works closely with each department in order to ensure the most efficient sale of their items. Goods are first posted on our NU Auction site, which offers goods strictly to other University related members. If the item is unsuccessful within NU Auction, the item is moved to eBay in order to capture a broader buyer audience.
  • It is Nebraska State Law that items need to be offered to University buyers before they are offered to the general public. NU Auction is compliant with the University of Nebraska Board of Regents Policy, RP-6.2.2, (Disposal of Surplus Property).
  • Also, certain items are not acceptable or ideal for sale on Ebay for any of a variety of reasons. Please consult our Policies document above.
